恭读欧瑟亚先知书 14:2-10
上主说：以色列！归向上主你的天主吧！因为你跌倒了，是因了你的罪孽。准备你们的话，好在回来归向上主时，对他说：“求你宽恕我们的一切罪过，使我们重获幸福，叫我们好给你献上我们嘴唇的佳果。亚述不能拯救我们，我们也不再骑坐埃及的马；我们也决不再对我们双手的作品说：‘你是我们的天主。’因为孤儿只有在你那里才得到怜恤。 ”
我要治疗他们的不忠，我要从心里疼爱他们，因为我的怒气已远离了他们。我对以色列将如甘露；她将开花如百合，扎根如白杨；她的枝条必要茂盛，她的秀丽就如橄榄树，她的芬芳就如黎巴嫩的馨香。他们必将归来，坐在我的庇荫下；他们必将繁殖有如五谷，滋生有如葡萄；她的声誉将如黎巴嫩的美酒。厄弗辣因与偶像还有什么关系？是我磨难了她，我也要福佑她；我如一棵翠绿的松树，由于我，她才结出了果实。
谁明智，就会明了；谁聪敏，就会领会，因为上主的道路是正直的；义人在上面畅行，恶人反在上面跌倒。
Reading 1
A reading from the book of the Prophet Hosea 14:2-10
Thus says the LORD:
Return, O Israel, to the LORD, your God;
you have collapsed through your guilt.
Take with you words,
and return to the LORD;
Say to him, “Forgive all iniquity,
and receive what is good, that we may render
as offerings the bullocks from our stalls.
Assyria will not save us,
nor shall we have horses to mount;
We shall say no more, ‘Our god,’
to the work of our hands;
for in you the orphan finds compassion.”
I will heal their defection, says the LORD,
I will love them freely;
for my wrath is turned away from them.
I will be like the dew for Israel:
he shall blossom like the lily;
He shall strike root like the Lebanon cedar,
and put forth his shoots.
His splendor shall be like the olive tree
and his fragrance like the Lebanon cedar.
Again they shall dwell in his shade
and raise grain;
They shall blossom like the vine,
and his fame shall be like the wine of Lebanon.
Ephraim! What more has he to do with idols?
I have humbled him, but I will prosper him.
“I am like a verdant cypress tree”—
because of me you bear fruit!
Let him who is wise understand these things;
let him who is prudent know them.
Straight are the paths of the LORD,
in them the just walk,
but sinners stumble in them.

恭读圣玛窦福音 10:16-23
那时候，耶稣对他的门徒说：“看，我派遣你们好像羊进入狼群中，所以你们要机警如同蛇，纯朴如同鸽子。你们要提防世人，因为他们要把你们交给公议会，要在他们的会堂里鞭打你们；并且你们要为我的缘故，被带到总督和君王前，对他们和外邦人作证。当人把你们交出时，你们不要思虑：怎么说，或说什么，因为在那时刻，自会赐给你们说什么。因为说话的不是你们，而是你们父的圣神在你们内说话。兄弟要将兄弟，父亲要将儿子置于死地，儿女也要起来反对父母，要将他们害死。你们为了我的名字，要为众人所恼恨；唯独坚持到底的，才可得救。但是，几时人们在这城迫害你们，你们就逃往另一城去；我实在告诉你们：直到人子来到时，你们还未走完以色列的城邑。”
Gospel
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew 10:16-23
Jesus said to his Apostles:
“Behold, I am sending you like sheep in the midst of wolves;
so be shrewd as serpents and simple as doves.
But beware of men,
for they will hand you over to courts
and scourge you in their synagogues,
and you will be led before governors and kings for my sake
as a witness before them and the pagans.
When they hand you over,
do not worry about how you are to speak
or what you are to say.
You will be given at that moment what you are to say.
For it will not be you who speak
but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
Brother will hand over brother to death,
and the father his child;
children will rise up against parents and have them put to death.
You will be hated by all because of my name,
but whoever endures to the end will be saved.
When they persecute you in one town, flee to another.
Amen, I say to you, you will not finish the towns of Israel
before the Son of Man comes.”
