恭读圣若望一书 4:7-16
亲爱的诸位：我们应该彼此相爱，因为爱是出于天主；凡有爱的，都是生于天主，也认识天主；那不爱的，也不认识天主，因为天主是爱。天主对我们的爱，在这事上已显示出来：就是天主把自己的独生子，打发到世界上来，好使我们借着他，得到生命。爱就在于此：不是我们爱了天主，而是他爱了我们，且打发自己的儿子，为我们做赎罪祭。
亲爱的诸位：既然天主这样爱了我们，我们也应该彼此相爱。从来没有人见过天主；如果我们彼此相爱，天主就存留在我们内；他的爱在我们内，才是圆满的。我们所以知道我们存留在天主内，天主存留在我们内，就是由于他赐给了我们他的圣神。
至于我们，我们却曾见过，并且作证：父打发了子，来作世界的救主。谁若明认耶稣是天主子，天主就存在他内，他也存在天主内。我们认识了，且相信了天主对我们所怀的爱。天主是爱；那存留在爱内的，就存留在天主内，天主也存留在他内。
Reading 1
A reading from the first letter of St. John 4:7-16
Beloved, let us love one another,
because love is of God;
everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God.
Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is love.
In this way the love of God was revealed to us:
God sent his only-begotten Son into the world
so that we might have life through him.
In this is love:
not that we have loved God, but that he loved us
and sent his Son as expiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us,
we also must love one another.
No one has ever seen God.
Yet, if we love one another, God remains in us,
and his love is brought to perfection in us.
This is how we know that we remain in him and he in us,
that he has given us of his Spirit.
Moreover, we have seen and testify
that the Father sent his Son as savior of the world.
Whoever acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God,
God remains in him and he in God.
We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us.
God is love, and whoever remains in love
remains in God and God in him.

恭读圣若望福音 11:19-27
那时候，有许多犹太人，来到玛尔大和玛利亚那里，为她们兄弟的死，安慰她们。
玛尔大一听说耶稣来了，便去迎接他；玛利亚仍坐在家里。玛尔大对耶稣说：“主！如果你在这里，我的兄弟决不会死！就是现在，我也知道：你无论向天主求什么，天主必要赐给你。”
耶稣对玛尔大说：“你的兄弟必定要复活。”
玛尔大说：“我知道在末日复活时，他必要复活。”
耶稣对玛尔大说：“我就是复活，就是生命；信从我的，即使死了，仍要活着；凡活着而信从我的人，必永远不死。你信么？”
玛尔大回答说：“是的，主，我信你是默西亚，天主子，要来到世界上的那一位。”
Gospel
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John 11:19-27
Many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary
to comfort them about their brother [Lazarus, who had died].
When Martha heard that Jesus was coming,
she went to meet him;
but Mary sat at home.
Martha said to Jesus,
“Lord, if you had been here,
my brother would not have died.
But even now I know that whatever you ask of God,
God will give you.”
Jesus said to her,
“Your brother will rise.”
Martha said to him,
“I know he will rise,
in the resurrection on the last day.”
Jesus told her,
“I am the resurrection and the life;
whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live,
and anyone who lives and believes in me will never die.
Do you believe this?”
She said to him, “Yes, Lord.
I have come to believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God,
the one who is coming into the world.”
